Chris Bryant, Member of Parliament for the Rhondda, has branded calls for a multi-option referendum for Wales, which would include Independence, as divisive and nonsensical after comments made by Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood on BBC Question Time last Thursday.
Chris Bryant MP said, “It seems to me that all Leanne and Plaid Cymru care about is Independence for Wales, regardless of how poor it makes Wales.
The impact independence would have on our NHS, Schools and Local Authorities is devastating, especially to areas like the Rhondda.
Not only is this a call for a referendum that nobody wants in Wales but a multi-option one, divisive nonsensical politics at its worst.”
